Noise Reduction:

The noise reduction actions will attempt to remove noise from your
photographs without losing detail.
This set is split up in two parts, a global noise reduction and a high,
medium and low frequency noise reduction.

The global noise reduction doesn’t use any layer masks so it doesn’t
protect sharp edges of your photograph
however this action can still be useful for photographs that have a
really obvious noise pattern in them.

The high freq action will protect the sharp edges of very small details
on a photograph,
the mid freq action will protect the medium sized details
and lastly the low freq action will protect more softer larger edges
of photographs.
